Raksha was built on the foundation of absolute privacy. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We employ a zero-trust architecture, meaning even we cannot access your live location data unless you actively trigger an SOS event, and even then, only your trusted contacts hold the decryption keys.
2. Information We Collect
When you use our services, we only collect the minimum amount of data required to ensure your safety:
- Account Information: Name, phone number, and optional profile picture.
- Emergency Contacts: The names and numbers of the people you assign as your trusted guardians.
- Location Data: We only track your location when an active SOS is triggered or during an automated check-in interval. Location data is heavily encrypted.
3. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used strictly for operational purposes:
- To transmit your precise live location to your trusted contacts during an emergency.
- To send automated SMS fallbacks when your data connection fails.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
Once an SOS alert is resolved and deactivated, your location history is permanently scrubbed from our active Firebase databases via automated daily cleanup routines. We do not maintain a permanent ledger of your movements.
